In September 2023, Dr. Xinyun Cao joined the Space Geodesy group as a visiting scholar. He obtained his Ph.D in Geodesy and Geomatics at Wuhan University in December 2018. Currently, he works as an associate professor at school of Geography in Nanjing Normal University. He aims to solve the bottleneck of multi-GNSS precise point positioning, namely, the long convergence time, low reliability of undifferenced ambiguity resolution, the inconsistency of the strategy and algorithm between the GNSS products and the rover side, etc. His current research interests include rapid real-time clock estimation, multi-frequency code/phase bias modeling, undifferenced ambiguity resolution, and multi-sensor integration in complex environment.

During the period spent at ETH, he will continue to develop a set of multi-frequency and multi-GNSS software with unified process, and extend to perceive and process multi-sensors’ heterogeneous data in an intelligent manner.
