European VLBI Group for Geodesy and Astrometry (EVGA) Working Meeting
This year, from 11-15 June, the 26th European VLBI Group for Geodesy and Astrometry (EVGA) Working Meeting took place near the geodetic observatory Wettzell.
From ETH Zurich, Matthias Schartner and Benedikt Soja attended the meeting with the following contributions:
- Active mitigation of spaceborne radio frequency interference (Schartner et al.)
- Cross-polarization bandpasses of VGOS antennas (Jaron et al.)
- Update on the VGOS-INT-S Program between MACGO12M and WETTZ13S (Lemoine et al.)
The book of abstracts can be found external page here.
Besides the conference, a VGOS Technical Committee (VTC) meeting was held on Monday with presentations about the VGOS-R&D activities provided by Matthias Schartner.
Furthermore, Matthias and Benedikt participated in the IVS analysis workshop, representing the associated analysis center ETHZ. Finally, Matthias was invited to attend the IVS directing board retreat on Friday and Saturday.
Overall, there have been very fruitful discussions regarding current and future challenges in geodetic and astrometric VLBI.
