Commercial Space Days 2023

During this event, various talks and panel discussions were given by entrepreneurs, scientists and astronauts, providing interesting insights into the opportunities and challenges of space commercialization and space exploration. The Space Geodesy group contributed with a booth where Lukas Müller, Matthias Aichinger-Rosenberger and Benedikt Soja presented our low-cost, multi-GNSS payload board, which is currently used as a positioning module onboard 16 CubeSats of the company Astrocast. Our booth attracted many visitors from both companies and universities, leading to fruitful discussions about the use of GNSS for spacecraft navigation and possible collaborations.

During the event, Benedikt served as a juror for the external page ECSECO Academic Paper Competition, the first initiative of its kind in the field of space economy and commerce in Europe. He helped moderate the related presentations and announce the worthy winners during the closing ceremony.
