IGARSS 2021
The International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium took place virtually from July 12-16. Mostafa Kiani Shahvandi is one of the Co-Chairs of the session "Advanced GNSS Methods for Spatial and Temporal Predictions". In this session he gave a presentation about "Modified Deep Transformers for GNSS Time Series Prediction".
Retreat 2021 at ETH Hönggerberg
The Space Geodesy group met together with the Mathematical and Physical Geodesy group for a three-days retreat to discuss current and future research as well as organizational issues. Additionally, short tutorials were given by group members, and topics such as teaching, career planning, ethics and outreach were addressed. Even if the weather could have been better, a short hike followed by a nice barbeque at ETH Hönggerberg was possible.
Scientific Assembly of the International Association of Geodesy 2021
The Scientific Assembly of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) took place from 28.06.2021 – 02.07.2021. The conference was organized virtually. The Space Geodesy group was represented by Laura Crocetti and Mostafa Kiani Shahvandi, who gave oral presentations.
